Tim Nickey

Co-Partner & Executive Chef

With more than two decades of culinary experience, Tim Nickey defines the chef-driven identity behind Three Amigos Hospitality. Originally from the City of Brotherly Love, Tim began his culinary career at age 14 before moving to Florida to attend Johnson & Wales University in Miami, where he formalized his training and refined his passion for elevated cuisine.

Tim quickly rose through the ranks at Morton’s Steakhouse, ultimately becoming the national brand’s youngest Executive Chef—a milestone that set the tone for his future leadership. His career continued to expand across some of the country’s most notable restaurant groups, including key culinary roles at Abe & Louie’s, Kapow Noodle Bar, China Grill, and Komodo Miami, where he helped lead the restaurant into becoming one of the highest-grossing in the United States.

Known for his precision, creativity, and deep expertise in Asian cuisine, Tim brings bold flavors, refined presentation, and thoughtful sourcing to every menu within the Three Amigos portfolio. His chef-driven approach aligns seamlessly with the operational vision of Scott Frielich, the brand-centric perspective of Angelo Abbenante, the experiential design mindset of Cleve Mash, and the strategic marketing leadership of Melissa Frielich—creating a well-rounded foundation for the company’s culinary excellence.

Chef Nickey resides in Palm City, Florida, with his wife Lenia and their two children, Christian and Michael.
